Overlay floats a menu above the composer. Keyboard slot dismisses the keyboard and puts a panel in its place at the measured height — the Signal pattern, and the one that can jump.
If shrink stays above zero once the keyboard is closed, you're seeing the standalone viewport bug. Force re-measure should clear it.
